Scott Gibson serves Clarkdale as Athletic Director in addition to being the head baseball coach.
Coach Gibson is beginning his eighteenth year in coaching and his twelfth year as a head coach. He began his coaching career as assistant baseball coach at Clarkdale before being named Head baseball coach at Northeast Lauderdale in June of 2007. In the summer of 2008 Scott returned to Clarkdale High School as head coach.
Coach Gibson is a member of the American Baseball Coaches Association, Mississippi Association of Coaches, Mississippi Athletic Administrators Association and Crossroads Diamond Club. He serves as district Five Coordinator for the State Games of Mississippi for baseball. Scott also serves as the 2A state representative for the Crossroads Diamond Club.
He has been named District Coach of the Year on three occasions and was selected to coach the South team for the 2013 MHSAA All Star Game. In 2016, Coach Gibson was selected to coach Team Mississippi in the first ever Southeastern Underclassman Shootout featuring a team representing the eight southeastern states.
In January, Coach Gibson was named 1A/2A/3A Athletic Director of the year for the State of Mississippi. Coach Gibson has had 26 former players to play at the college level as well as four former players coaching in high school and college .
He is married to Brookley Knight Gibson and they have three girls, Madelyn (13), Hollyn (9), and Ann Collyns (4)
